"If you're finding it hard,
that's a sign
that you weren't meant
to face it alone."

"At Honouring Home Clinical Counselling,

our approach is inspired by the symbolism of the snail.

Just as the snail carries its home for safety,

we believe true progress happens when we feel secure enough

to be honest with ourselves, let others truly see us, and explore the world.

Healing is a journey that takes time,

and the snail reminds us that everyone’s pace is unique."

GRATITUDE

I would like to acknowledge with respect and gratitude, that my home and workplace are located on traditional, ancestral territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən people also known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations. I acknowledge that I, myself am a settler and have benefitted and continues to benefit from colonization and that I work each day towards reconciliation in following the TRC Calls of Action. As a therapist, I reflect on my own intersectionality and commit to my continuous journey of life long learning, listening and supporting.
